1) Switching off your computer when you are done really helps; or even, just your monitor if you're on a break.
2) You can even configure your Power Options settings on the control panel to save energy when you aren’t using it.
3) Try an upgrade - an LCD monitor uses less than half that of the conventional monitor!
4) Use a laptop instead of a desktop – they use 30% the energy that a desktop does (plus they're cooler!)
5) Go green – buy computers that are energy efficient (psst: Some of these are really sleek)
6) Tell more people; Even get your boss to make it official
